Overall this year is turning out to be very good. With two solar generation months still left to run, I only require 37 kWs to make it the best year so far. And that’s after last year’s magnificent return of 2,049 kWS.

The 9th month of the year gave a good electricity yield, not the best September, but still better than the poor return experienced in the same month of 2013!

2013 Was the best year so far from my South, South-East solar panel array in what has been and interesting and enlightening Solar Panel Journey. Although the year started a little slow with the first three months down considerably compared to January, February and March 2012, it was then boosted with a very good summer of electricity generation!
This record year was achieved with some great figures during the warmer months including July which surpassed any expectations and broke the previous highest monthly yield by some way.
The year ended 50 kWs up on the previous twelve-months 🙂
I had thought by now after having my solar panel system for over two years that I’d probably experienced all the bests and lows. However on the 23/12/13 I had my first zero generation day 🙁 And before you ask – was the system at fault, I can safely say everything was working fine but the weather was dreadful – one of the most bleakest and dimmest days I’ve seen for years!
Even with the lowest generation day possible within a month of extremely wet weather December still ended on par with the previous year. This final month of 2013 generated a solar electricity yield total of 60.45 kWs.

November 2013’s solar electricity generation was slightly up on the previous year with a total of 87.98 kWs. It should help bring in my best year to date if the array receives an average yield next month!

Sorry, A little behind with my statistics again so this month’s blog is a triple solar generation report for the months of August, September and October 2013.
August continued where July left off with a great set of harvesting results due to the good summer that we have been treated to this year. This last full summer month of 2013 generated 255.29kWs with an average of 8.24kWs per day. That’s a 21% increase on August 2012. The top daily yield of 12.36kWs came right at the end of the month.
With the sun shining again in August the final solar generation figures were:

After August I was pretty pleased with the year so far with the month continuing the upward trend on the previous year’s solar electricity figures. Reading on you will see a drop on the next two reported months but I should still hopefully achieve and record a record year in 2013!
With all the success of the main summer months I did expect a little better from September 2013. But you can’t have everything – It was inevitable that a poor month would eventually arrive and this year it looks like being September. The ninth month of 2013 generated an electricity yield that was 44% down on 2012 with a total of 144.97kWs.
A poor month that started well but clouded over in the later part. The final September solar generation figures are:

With September being considerably down I did fear October being the same. However, after a few good sunny days during the month the figures rallied a little to produce a solar panel generation result that was passably on par with the previous year. A total of 125.92kWs was reached for the month.
Not bad overall with a total that should help 2013 be a record breaking solar electricity generating year. The final October generation figures are:

I’ll start with a Wow this month as the Solar electricity generated for July from my modest solar panel array has surpassed all my expectations! If you’re not up to date with my story then you can check it from the start here or if you want more statistics then these are also available at South, South-East solar panel system.
The total electricity generated for July 2013 broke the record at 324.84kWs. That’s a big increase on the previous July. The statistics below shows a daily high of 14.15kW achieved on the 5th! not the highest but it’s how many days that a generation of over 11kws was maintained that made all the difference. This boosted a monthly overall average to 10.48kWs per day.
So with plenty of records set during the month the final July solar generation figures are:

Solar generation in June this year has turned out to be a good one with a good yield being harvested from my South, South-East solar panel system. The total electricity generated was 266.60kWs. That’s a 31.34% increase on the previous June. The statistics below shows, as already blogged due to its record, a daily high of 15.33kW achieved on the 6th! The monthly overall average was 8.89kWs per day.
The summer has started well and I’m hoping for more records very soon!
